Yesterday was quite busy trying to make the inspector happy..

What can't be seen is the shingles are applied to the porch roof. You'll also see there have been some 'Y' bracing added. The inspector wants us safe when we have our 'wild' parties.
We all think it is just a wee bit 'overkill' but I guess if it'll make him happy for a final inspection so be it.
What he's trying to keep from is any 'swaying' of the porch floor, I guess. But you say, "It's attached to the house!" Precisely what we're all thinking.
My day, on the other hand was spent either bending over or on my knees running my 3" belt sander over the entire floor making sure there are no 'pop-ups' where the subfloor was stapled to the joists. Judy spent much of her day picking rocks out front and tending hoses and wires for me.
She just couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap one more picture while I was putting the register back in so' someone' wouldn't step in the hole.
